Description The door to the bar swung open fast and hard, and a man shrouded in a cloak walked in, soaking wet from the rain. Naturally, everyone in the bar turned and looked to see who it was, but then turned back around when they saw a large sword sheathed and strapped to his back. The man looked around and as he scanned the room, each person turned away, pretending as if they never looked at him to begin with. The man sat down at the farthest, most obscure corner table of the room, propped his chair against the wall, and sat down.
After a while, the conversations began again amongst the tables. The man could only hear the tables nearby, and they seemed to be having a heated discussion.
“I tell you, there must have been some outside factors!” said one. “There’s no way he could have lost.”
“Link failed,” countered another. “It doesn’t matter how, he just failed. Now all of Hyrule is doomed. Gannondorf has the Triforce, and this world will be changed to darkness.”
“I think they are in league with each other,” said another. “Think about it. Link has been looking meaner and meaner in the past few months. He has barked at a lot of people when they asked him questions. I Think Gannondorf is getting to him, and this is the result. I bet that Gannondorf then backstabbed him-” he stopped when he felt the point of a sword pressed against his back. He turned around to see the man in the cloak as the one holding the sword.
“I think you had best stop right there,” said the cloaked man.
“Ah, Link, I thought that was you,” said the man at the end of the sword. He had a slight quiver in his voice. “What is this for?”
“What you said is inaccurate,” Link replied. “Gannondorf Beat me, yes, but that is because something intervened.”
“What?” asked the man. “Your own weakness? The Triforce of Courage may be helpful, but it really can’t beat out the Triforce of Power. I am surprised you have beaten him this many times. It was doomed to happen that you fail someday.”
Link readied his sword, but he stopped when he saw someone through the window. Even though it was raining, he could see clearly that it was the man who interfered with his fight with Gannondorf. “I warn you right now, don’t talk that way about me again.” He then ran out of the bar and caught up with the man he saw.
Link drew his sword. “Turn and face me!” he yelled. He waited for a moment, but the man, who was wearing nothing but blue – even his hair was blue – did nothing, acting like he never even heard Link. Link readied his sword, and charged the man.
But the man in blue reached behind him, grabbed Link by the head, and tossed him to the side. Link skidded along the ground a few feet, then looked to see that the man in blue was staring towards the castle in Hyrule. After a moment, he muttered, “What is taking him so long?”
“What is taking who so long?” Link demanded.
The man in blue turned to face Link, and looked mildly surprised. “How did you survive?”
“I am just hard to kill,” Link stated rudely.
“Then I will take care of that,” stated the man in blue. He drew his own sword and walked slowly towards Link. Link stood up and readied his sword. The man in blue paused and looked at Link’s face. There was a large wound stretching from the lower part of his left cheek to the upper part of the right side of his forehead. He laughed and said, “Is that from the battle with Gannondorf, Link?”
“Yes,” Link replied. “But how do you know my name?”
“That does not matter,” the man in blue said. “But for formalities’ sake, I will tell you mine. I am Alex. Do you want some fun before you die, or do you want to die quickly?”
“It is you who will die,” Link said as he charged Alex.
“Such a pity,” Alex shrugged. “You were one of the best, too.” Right as link got to him, he swiped with his sword and easily disarmed Link, then swung around and thrust his sword right through Link’s chest. Link gasped for breath, then fell to the ground, motionless.
“Now, to see Gannondorf’s progress,” Alex said. He floated off of the ground and flew towards the top of the Hyrule Castle.
As he arrived, he saw that Gannondorf was drawing the Triforce of Wisdom piece out of Zelda. “Good,” Alex muttered. “Everyone is right on schedule. This is the last one.”
As the Triforce of Wisdom withdrew from Zelda, the two that were with Gannondorf, the Triforce of Power and of Courage, withdrew from him, and they all came together and landed before him, glowing brilliantly. “At long, long last, my dream can come true. O Great Triforce! Do Your Hear me!” he yelled. The completed Triforce gave a short flash of light. “Excellent,” he said. “Triforce! I demand that you give me ultimate power!” He waited for a second. “What is this? I don’t feel any different! Triforce! Give Me ultimate power!” He waited for another second. “Again, looks like nothing happened. Um… Triforce, Please give me ultimate power?” He waited for another second. “What is wrong?”
Suddenly, a pillar of light came out of nowhere from the sky, and landed on the Triforce engulfing it. “Exactly as planned,” Alex muttered happily.
Gannondorf was not happy, however. He was becoming quite aggravated that nothing was happening like he wanted. “Well, if I can’t have ultimate power, then nobody can!” he yelled. He stepped back, outstretched his hand, and fired a bolt of a dark-colored energy at the Triforce. The pillar of light engulfing the Triforce absorbed the bolt, and then fired a bolt right back, which sent him off his feet flying, and he flew right off the top of the castle.
Alex waited for a moment, then walked towards the pillar. He slowly outstretched his hand as he faced it, and rested his hand on it. He muttered an incantation, and his outstretched hand began to glow blue. He closed his eyes and continued to chant.
He stopped after only a moment and gasped, opening his eyes and focusing on the Triforce. It was dissolving. “No,” he said, angrily. “This is not supposed to happen! Not here! This isn’t what I was told!” When the Triforce completely dissolved away, a wave of light burst out of the pillar heading in all directions, knocking Alex off of his feet and sending him flying. The pillar then began expanding, engulfing everything, until it covered the whole land.
Alex landed, and watched this display happening in all of its brilliance of light. “This is not good for me,” he yelled, and vanished in a puff of blue smoke.
