Description Barn Owls are oine of our favourite birds in this house, yet apart from myself, we never see them in the wild. I have never seen a wild Barn Owl in my home couonty Hertfordshire, but in Cambridgeshire they seem to have Barn Owls in good numbers. What better way of pest control could there be, when you have Owls to kill the Rats and Mice for you? Barn Owls were once known as 'Demon Owls', it could be due to their non-typical screech sound they have instead of the stereotype "hoot".

I think choosing a sharp Prime lens rather than a more powerful one helps. I can take photos and not worry about lens distortions as much. Since it is only a 300mm , that makes it easier to get the bird.
