Description
During the lockdown, I had been stuck between work, and a few local parks to go to. Fortunately we have now got 2 pairs of Great Crested Grebes at the local lakes, and they decided to put on a bit of a show. Great Crested Grebes are one of the favourites in the house. In the early Spring, the Great Crested Grebes do more than just "fluff up their crest", as their courtship also includes swimming underwater. Interestingly, I have watched this part of their courtship, and it is strikingly similar to that which is performed by Mute Swans.
