Whereas it's not illegal to make your own rendition of someone else's work I don't really appreciate you using my parts to make your own. On every single one of my parts it clearly states "You're allowed to edit and distribute on a finished model". This is not a finished model in any way shape or form and you didn't even bother to ask me if this is okay.
Now if you wanted to make a full model edit with these and give out the model with these on there I wouldn't have a problem with it. I have no idea how Tehpuroisen feels about this but from what I do know is that you offended both myself and Nyoomy by doing this.
So I'm going to kindly ask that you do one of two things. Make a full model edit and distribute it with the garters and stockings on it, NOT as a separate part that comes with the model. Or option two, you remove this completely.
If you can't do that then I'll have to do something about it and I really don't want to have to make an issue over this.

I see that you have your Hagane Chika model already up for download with the garters, why not just use her? She's pretty decent and already has the accessory on her.

Saves you work, she's a great model, and since she has something unique on her that you can't get elsewhere more people will download her and have a higher potential of using her. It's a win/win!

If the parts in this download were legal to use like this then there's nothing wrong. Nyoomy's version was hand-modeled and that data itself is copywritable, but not the arrangement design (generic straps, studs, and hearts) itself. Look at the results of the great loltia fashion replica debate and that'll become clear.
Nyoomy designed hers exactly after IRL garters, so whether Kodd84 was inspired by her or the IRL ones is pretty moot far as legal MMDing goes--even if they were to have the same strap pattern and thus be a more exact replica.

You have a point in that this person is not wrong in creating their own rendition. However, they are wrong because used my parts to create their own, that goes against the rules I've put in place to protect my work. I allow people to edit my parts and give them out on model edits not parts themselves. Though it may seem as a nice gesture, in the end they still messed up by ignoring how I, Nyoomy, and Tehpuroisen might have felt about this.

Judging from Pekoe's prev reply s/he seemed to think it worse than a dickish move and is probably not the first or last to think that. MMDC and policing have a bad enough rep without drive-by insults over a false-positive, which doesn't encourage a good community. Plus, I had work to avoid.

I honestly find it stupid that people make payed parts for a free program... I mean they're restricting it to only a few limited people. Not everyone's going to have money to spend things on, or not going to waste their money on something that's not worth it. At least ALL parts for MMD should be free. -_-
