Yeah, Ginrei never did strike me as one of those impossibly stuck up nobles like those elders who wanted to forbid Byakuya's marriage to Hisana...which doesn't mean that he was happy about it (but I think he was...in some kind of way...). He'd probably suppress an outright laugh when hearing about Soujun's antics^^

Yes! I guess he stood behind Byakuya when he married Hisana. Of course as a clan leader he shouldn't support that relationship, but... as a grandfather he couldn't have done something so cruel to Byakuya, although many people believe that. Byakuya lost his parents so early and Ginrei had to take care of him since then. I seems like we think abou Ginrei the same way! That's pretty cool! :3

It is...^^ I can't really understand how some people think he was against Byakuya's marriage too, not after seeing how happy Byakuya was to see his grandfather in the main house in that flashback and how Ginrei treated him there... he loves his grandson... and maybe he wasn't Clanleader anymore at the time Byakuya married Hisana...

I think he was, since he "had to overrule his whole family" in order to marry Hisana. And only a Clan Leader can do that. If he hadn't been the Leader at that time, he couldn't have married her. While I think Ginrei truly loves his grandson and wouldn't actively try to make his life miserable, I doubt he would go against the family's rules- they're to deeply ingrained in him.
