During the Ninja Clan's attack, Nemesos gets separated from Moon and ends up fighting two necromancers. He was beating them with ease at first - until one of them was revealed to be Brangwen, the daughter that was murdered by Amra!

His moment of weakness gives Risna time top open a portal to Hell. Since they can't win at a hand-to-hand fight with him, they pull that bullshit to prevent him from interfering with the Amra/Dusa fight. (And also out of spite)
