Description
Many traditional - and of course by rural ways of life religiously influenced - folk songs (esp. in tennessee & kentucky originated bluegrass style) repeatedly seized this allegory of enlightenment - or redemption. I recalled these words when I took that picture in the reconstructed 1860ies wooden church of Shiloh, Tennessee. Referring to the Bible, Shiloh means "he to whom it rightfully belongs" (Genesis 49 v10), but it was used to name that place in the more common interpretation of "a peacful place".
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a religious person at all, I just want to be precise.
