Only 400? I'll take that in a day in Kyoto! I did last time.
This time we'll spend about four full days in the city. Last time was just one full day and that's nowhere near enough time. We'll make a day trip to Osaka while we're down that way.

I know that pain. That was my worry during our last visit to Kyoto. Shouldn't be a problem this time, since I'll be bringing a 40GB portable HDD that I can dump my pics to. So I'll only have to worry about if I go through my 2.5GB of flash during the day, which is a fair concern in a place like Kyoto.

yeah, I went with a group of people who are learning Japanese and our teacher had schedualed everything out for every day so I didn't have too much time to take a lot of pictures and everynight i would have to go through and delete some that i didnt like so i could use the camera the next day.

If I could set this as my wallpaper without distorting the pic, I would. Great job on grabbing that detail on the water, makes the picture all the more serene.
