These are cool, but I don't think you can legally sell things based off copyrighted characters. The raptors were different since they were a species that was alive at one point, but pokemon were entirely created by a company.

I don't think that's entirely true as if you look at them; they look nothing like they're supposed counterparts. If something is changed to a reasonable doubt they no longer resemble the original work. The only thing that they can't use legally is the names. Other than that there isn't much they could do.

people take commissions for drawing characters from pokemon all the time.
i don't think they're going to care if a kid makes a design inspired by them?
it's not like they're trying to sell the concept or design of the actual pokemon.
