Description In preparation for an upcoming exhibit which requires me to dig my realistic representational past, I took out some dust filled skecthpads from my rotting art cabinet. Brom was a great influence and this piece was my best study of his art. Skull headgear, amazing physique and lovely concept.

I have a week and i have not laid paint on my canvas. i sense coffee overload these coming days.

This is absolutely amazing- the combination of masculinity and feminity is intrigueing, and to me it appears the combining of the sexes is taboo, hence the death mask.

I adore Brom's work and this piece is just amazing! I love the muscle contour of the body and how the bodice/body tape is only a slight sketch but is very detailed. This is just a great, great sketch.
