Trying out the new coloring method on my 2 girls :3. It came out well but it needs more work. Akiko dressed as Alice Tsukigami and Wynn as Uriko NonomuraRelated content

Well I must say the new coloring method looks really nice. Though as I said I'm torn in choosing between the two. Akiko's hair is cute and well detailed while her cosplay get-up itself is rather fetching, befitting her. However her expression seems ever so slightly off with the one eye closed. Maybe if her smile were more pronounced or something? Not sure but it feels eve so slightly lacking in emotion.
Something Wynn's picture has in spades. Wynn always has an energy to her, even in pictures where she's standing still her expressions and emotions always seem charged. In this one she's clearly full swing into the cosplay design and she looks great in it. her hair in particular is very nicely animated, carrying the clear message of fast movement. The perspective of one hand close and the other far away also adds a great little depth perspective that adds more life to the whole picture.
So yeah the new coloring works well in my opinion. The shadows seem to blend in better with the colors and their hair looks more amazing than ever. Nice work Kojiro. Have an XP boost. XD

Yea, I wasn't sure how to pose akiko for this one. Mostly did this pic for the practice mroe than anything. Wynn is easy to know how to pose |D.
It did come down to the eyes for akiko though

When it comes to a picture of a character, what stands out to me are the eyes and the hair and the way you do both is amazing. You really take the time to point out that it's not one solid block on their head and it really pays off.
I know I've always joked that Akiko had chocabo-like hair whenever you soft shade it, but compared to to the first time I saw you draw here, there's a big difference. Well done!

Thanks~ Been really trying to work on developing a color style to go with my kind of line work. Still working on it but im finally starting to move out of this beginner phase i've been calling "Brute Force" coloring |D. A phase where you have an idea about coloring but it has no style and you just put colors in generically.
