This was pretty much a given when I found out this was the year of the rat in the chinese calendar. Of course Ory is imprinted with mouse genes, not rat, but does it really matter?Related content

I think they are actually different species (I'm pulling these facts from my arse, not even bothering to wikipedia), but a lot of small rats are probably mistaken for mice.

i dunno. all i know is if its inside the house, nomatter how small it seems its allways called a rat, and if its outside its a mouse. or at least thats all i hear people calling them.
"Oh look, a field mouse."
"AAAHHH A RAT" ect.

They are 'cousins' actually, kinda like how a dog and wolf are related(but the dog/wolf are much closer on the canine family tree then the rat/mouse are on the rodent tree).
Their are also many diferent species of both rat and mouse, common mouse being the 'house mouse', common rats being the Brown Rat, and Black Rat.
I got curius on this when you mentioned it, so I Wiki'd it.
