I was feeling crappy, so I did this to cheer myself up. And it actually did help, because for once things just sort of fell onto the page without a fight. I love when that happens. I let it be looser and sketchier than most of my pencil portraits are, but I kind of like it this way. The lines I used to block out his face at the start sort of had their own elegance, and so I didn't feel the need I usually to do make everything blend into smooth shading.Related content

His face is beauty-full, as it should be. Ahh yes. His best movie hands down has to be Life as a House..I thought he did a poor job as Anakin. Meh. I'm just picky.

Hm. I'm not as picky about actors as most people seem. He looked right to me, and that's... often kind of enough. I'm way more thrown by things like Harry having blue eyes than by how well he conveys emotion.
I will admit that he felt weird to me; sometimes when he talked it would rub me all the wrong way, like there was some dissonance somehow with what I would expect from a person in that situation. But it was such a vague sort of feeling that it kind of fits with the bad vibes I'd expect Anakin to exude by that age. I suppose I'm not all that perceptive of those sorts of things.
