This was a rare case for the Shi clan, a reason she would never be able to master their bloodline skill. Fortunately, even if she was weak, her family all showed great care for her, which is why she never cared about it. Nihuang would spend most of her time in her room reading books from her father. She attempted to socialize with the other clan members, and in the blink of an eye, Nihuang was surrounded by unfamiliar relatives. Nihuang wasn't surprised, because she thought most of them must be interested in her due to how splendid her brothers were. So she tried hard to not disappoint them or ruin her family's reputation.

Feeling pressured and a bit anxious during the whole party, Nihuang stayed until she was starting to feel unwell. Nihuang exited the party hall to get some fresh air. Much to her dismay, one of her uncle followed after her, eager to continue talking. Nihuang’s body condition continues to worsen and her head began to hurt so badly, she eventually fainted.

ーNihuang regained her conscious as she slowly opened her eyes. The scenery around her was moving but her body wasn’t. In the beginning, she thought that one of her brothers discovered her and was carrying her, but quickly realized that was not it. Her legs were moving on their own. A sense of fear quickly took over her heart but she couldn’t let out a single sound. The continuous sharp pain in her head made it hard for her to properly understand the whole situation.

As she proceeded, Nihuang noticed that she was on her way to her eldest brother’s room. She felt reassured until the moment her hands took out her pocket knife. Nihuang felt confused as she entered the room. She simply continued to pray that Nicang would wake up and help her, but her prayers were all futile and her brother’s eyelids remain closed. The next moment, her blade pierced through his chest. She stared at her brother blankly, wondering what was she doing. For a moment, she saw her brother’s eyes opening, but it was already too late. Nicang's white robe slowly became stained with red. Her body was freed from whatever controlled it but Nihuang still remained frozen, her mind unable to catch up with what had happened.

Crying on top of her brother’s cold body, eventually the burning sensation in her head took over her mind. Her last wish was to wake up to see her brothers again, and that whatever happened were all just nightmares.
