Captain Marvel has had a bit of a bumpy ride. The company that created him, Fawcett, was sued by DC ages ago because he was a challenge to Superman. While Captain marvel was out of action, Marvel comics took his name. DC brought Captain Marvel Back (!) and the battle for the name has been on ever since. His name is Captain Marvel, SHAZAM is his magical transformation word. lately, due to legal bothers, he's been called Shazam.
