I think it stands for MUNITION-Resistant-Armored-Personel carrier. Pretty dang sweet picture though. You gotta love them military vehicles.

i suppose. my dad works on base. also the latest or previously-latest issue of popular mechanics said they were mine-resistant. so idk

Eh, my father is a retired Airborne medic, so while he is a veteran he isn't a vehicular expert either. So, I could be mistaken myself.
