Back in the 90's I used to draw a book called Bloodstrike. You might remember it. It was basically about a bunch of dead super solider heroes that were brought back to life after every mission.It was Zombie Superheroes before it was cool to be a Zombie Superhero.
What do you want it was the 90's dude!?!
Anyway. This is one of the covers.

It's one of my faves because of the coloring and the the angle.

I hate that alot of people just love to piss and moan about how "horrible" and "artocious" the industry was in the 90's but that's pretty much when I got serious about making funny books myself and I gotta say that there is never going to be an energy like that again!
Every era of comic book history has it's ups and downs but it's easy to point the finger along with the mob and blame the 90's.
I had fun, I miss that energy and sense of wonder. Comics and the people who make them now sometimes take themselves a bit too seriously and kill the fun for everyone.
All that being said, I loves me some 90's groove! I don't think I picked up any Bloodstrike titles. I did buy Brigade and Bloodpool at first but not 'Strike. Sorry about that.

No worries. You didn't miss all that much. lol
It's true..the 90's had some cool stuff..it did get over the top but that was mainly from the amount of biters you copied styles and played out the look of things. The thing I miss is the big visuals and the balls out approach. No wonder video game art is kicking our @$$! Think about how many kids turn to Manga over American comics. It's mainly because American comics chose to go retro and nostalgic with the style of storytelling and concepts. It's hard to be cutting edge when you are working on characters that are 50 yrs old.

Thanks. Bloodstrike was a book about Zombie superheroes. I started drawing it at issue 11. It's lots of violent fun!
