Updated: I did a little more work on it. Still a very loooonnnnggg way to go.A WIP of the Steampunk girl digital paint over. I like to do a sketch and come back to it later with a fresh approach and digitally paint over it. This is a work in progress to give you an idea of how my process comes together. Usually I block in the main colors and than begin painting from dark to light using different sized brushes as I go. I'll post more of it as I get closer to finishing it.
I'm thinking of pushing my art away from the cartoon style and more towards realistic...until next week where I decide to go the opposite direction...ha!

I like the longer torsos you've been doing on some of the sketches. I think it takes your girls from really cute to sexy.

It's always fun to play around with style. Can't get too bogged down or you go stagnant can't get too crazy or folks forget it's you. I've recently gotten into revisiting older works and playing with them a bit, seeing them with a new perspective. I'm right there with ya on how you can see good things even in what one might consider failures.
