Back in the day I used to work for Extreme Studios. Before that I worked for Homage Studios which eventually morphed into Wildstorm. I was part of the whole 90's comic boom. One of things that I miss about mainstream American comics today is that they seem to lack the energy of that era. I like subtle images as much as the next guy but I also dig images that grab you by the nadds and don't let go.

Youngblood was one of those comics. It was recently announced that it's getting turned into a movie so I decided to take a shot at doing a movie version of how I see one of the characters from the comic Shaft.

I've recently tweaked my approach to digital painting so it was fun to apply some of the new ideas to this piece. It's still in the early early stages but I felt like sharing. More soon!
