My only "experience" with Taíno culture is reading the book "Morning Girl" by Michael Doris, which focuses on the daily life of a girl and her brother. I really had no idea that they had such interesting deities.
The design is interesting. Were you by any chance inspired by the Wheelers from the movie "Return to Oz?"

Taíno culture is one of those things Puerto Rican kids get taught from as early as first or second grade. However, one of the things they often skimp out on are the lesser-known legends and deities, of which I wanted to once and for all get some info on. While I still am not satisfied with what I've found so far, I DID manage to dig up a few things I know I didn't know of before, one of them being this guy.
And actually, the design itself is semi-accurate, if REALLY stylized, especially the head(s)) to the real thing. Or at least a statue of it: [link]

Hurray for me using the word "interesting" two sentences in a row.

You know your ability to switch and adapt styles amazes me. This is quite good.
