Description
I scan the crowd, hunting for that one face. The one with the bright blue eyes that always seem to leave me at a lose of words.  You can hold me captive with just a stare.  I look with a hopeful heart that I'll catch a glimpse of that goofy grin of yours.  You know the one I'm talking about; it was always there whenever I stole quick glances at you from afar.  The world could could dump more on your plate than most people would like, yet you stand there and smile as if it doesn't bother you a bit.

The weird thing I've come to notice over the years of knowing someone like you is that you almost always have that same smile on whenever you're with anyone elsebut me.  Whenever you would look at me,  that smile would vanish from your face, replaced by such a serious expression that I would have to look away.  I wonder, why was I so different to get that look from you?

We moved around again, but still I keep my eyes open as I walk with a hopeful heart.  Passed by an aisle--- wait!  I walk back , my heart hammering away.  Such a traitor here that lies beneath my breast when I see you.  Yet this was just a cruel false alarm.  It wasn't the face that I have come to love over these past few years.   The pain of not running into you again hurts more than you'll ever guess.

Soon it is time to leave and though I'm devestated that I wasn't able to see that smile today, I walk away with a small smile on my face.  After all, who knows what possibilities tomorrow holds for me?
