Lake Fork, Emory, Texas.This is something I'm really excited about! I'm sorry, I know this is not what I usually submit, but this is a photograph full of firsts!
First time I've photographed in RAW.
First time I've used my 55-200mm lens.
First time I've adjusted the aperture. (Thank you Pixla)
First time I've used some technique (can't remember what it's called) in PS.
I think the results are really nice. I hope you guys like this little guy!

Do you ever wonder where people and animals seen in pictures are now? Where is that bird now do you think? Is it happy? Is it healthy?
I know I feel bad for the bird, even if I can never do anything to help, I still feel for it.

You know what else drives me nuts!? Like say I'm in my car at a light...or something....and a big bee or a butterfly rambles by...it just misses getting squashed several times as it bumbles haphazardly into the distance....does it know....like really know where it's going? Is it thinking something? Is thinking....yikes! Car! Damn, that was close....ouch! Shite! I need to get to (where ever the hell it goes)...... Does it KNOW......does it THINK???

The slightly burned edges are pefect as they help to immediately draw the viewer's attention to the lone bird. This is a lovely monochrome piece - very simple in it's capture / composition, yet it has lots to say.
