I got myself the best Christmas present ever: my very own dog! He's a sweetie. Big, but a sweetie. His name is Nikos and he's a labrador/sheperd mix. About two years old and a great dog to have as a companion.

I got him from the shelter where I work. We dont just rescue stray dogs and cats. We also have a boarding facility where dogs and cats can stay while their owners are on vacation. Nikos was supposed to stay with us for about three weeks. But his owner never got him back, didnt answer the phone, didnt answer our letters and moved to another adress.

All in all he stayed here for two months and last week we decided to rehome him. The owner was impossible to find. And I had already fallen in love with him. So now he's with me! I think we're both very happy with each other.

2008 can not start better for me!
