I, too, was diagnosed with with BPD as well as a few others. But I personally find most people and artists only concentrate on the self-harm or drug abuse. This is one of the only pieces I can find that genuinely expresses the inner Hell we secretly go through every waking day of our lives. Thank you so much for this, dear! And good luck on getting better. (I currently have no doctor which frightens me sometimes... :/)

This is very beautiful work and it goes well with the concept. You're very brave for admitting your um..illness? (I think personalities disorder identified as an ilness is BS but that's my opinion.)

I agree that "Girl Interrupted" doesnt exactly show the anger which lurks inside, but at least it depictures the sorrow. Hen it comes to autism, have you seen "Rain Man"? Let me know what's your opinion on this one. It is nice to finally have the possibility to talk with someone who is also a bit fascinated with the topic of mental health : >

I am very fascinated with psychology: The mind is my muse
"Rain Man" was okay- a lot of people think that it is an insulting depiction of autism, but to me, I don't really think it was about Autism. It was more about two brothers learning to care about each other. As for the performance by Dustin Hoffman: I thought is was okay. At least his character was actually a character and not just a charicature.
I did, however, hate "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" by Mark Haddon. I think the author decided to be lazy about the characterisation, especially the main character with Asperger's Syndrome. Instead of creating a realistic character that, through his expieriences, can relate to the reader, he mushed together EVERY.FREAKING.SYMPTOM. Not only was he a stereotype, but he honestly had no personality.
To be honest, some of the best fiction dealing with mental health are the ones where the character hasn't been given a specific diagnosis. For instance, "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac" shows us the downfall of a killer, but the origin of his insanity isn't properly revealed, which makes us more inclined to pay attention to his drivel and the storyline. Also, every character in "Watchmen" seems to have something wrong with them- especially Rorschach.
Sorry, I'm writing an essay here.....

I really think I might have BPD as well. I've suspected that I'm "not quite right" for awhile and have started doing research. As I was sexually abused as a child, I don't think I could have gotten out of it completely unscathed and I wish to death I could tell my parents what I think.
I actually hope that I have it so then I have an excuse for the way I am.
Beautiful work and I hope you're ok.

I've been suspecting that I have BPD for a while now, I don't want to get myself officially diagnosed because then it'll be all the more real. I like to think there's some hope that I'm not.
Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do, and I hope you find the happiness you deserve.
Great peice by the way, it's very powerful.
