A friend of mine asked me to draw her an eagle, and here it is.I hope she enjoys it. =3

You've really done an excellent job with the gradient and all the different tones in it's feathers, making it look exceedingly realistic!
I don't know why, but the fact that you can't see it's eyes is very effective....making it look more serious maybe?

And yeah.. i tried to make it soft... its how i imagine a feather filled bird would feel XD; i never saw an eagle first hand thought...
I think the effect of the missing eye, is because the brain fills the area with its imagination... o.o and im HORRIBLE with eyes, so that works fine for me XD

I've never seen an eagle in real life either, but I know what they look like.....I think I like your version better....It's less likely to peck me. ^^
I've held owls and birds of prey that are pretty similar though, and yeah, a lot of them are fluffy

Personally i find animals TRAUMATICALLY HARD... but i try shape the lines somewhat after how i see them <3 *draws our cat like a bag of flour* 8D *even writes "flour" on it* >>

Oh, oh, oh, something inside-joke-like funny happened yesterday. XD My Mum gave me a coffee machine for a moving-out present, and I tried it out yesterday. It was working fine, but all of a sudden it started making weird sounds, and I almost thought it would blow up the building. XD I then laughed and fell over.
