And you should totally do it! All you have to do is be careful and patient, and take the shot!
I myself started doing the more interesting stuff mainly because of what basically stated:
"You won't get a good photo unless you're willing to go to 'dangerous' places!"
(Please don't go in the middle of a volcano or something that's literally dangerous!)

aw thanks ill have a go next time im out and about and i only have about 3 nendos and 1 is a bootleg so im waiting to get more

I always fear for that, too, but I bring a rag with me and one of those "screen cleaners" to wipe them down while im out taking photos. If they get really dirty I usually just clean them thoroughly afterwards with warm water and dish soap.
As one of my favorite figure photographers says, "The photo gets better and better the harder it is to take!"
