Yes, I took the photo right before crossing the street with the purpose of painting it; it was a rush day but was so glad to be able to snap the scene! it's a beautiful afternoon!

so I suppose many others of your scenery drawings (<-- is this english? does it make sense?) come from photographs?
I hope to take many pics full of atmosphere, too, when I'm in Japan!

yes and no.. some are from photos (photos I took), some are from imaginations. Some are a combination of actual scenes from the photos I took and imagination.. I mix them up quite a bit
Japan is a very art-inspiring country, scenery/streetscape-wise <- my english is not perfect too lol. You will enjoy it!
