Description This is my very first attempt to create pixel art! What can I do to improve?

What do you like more? With outlines or without?

i like both
the outlines could be softer (less dark black)
perhaps try non-chibi versions?
pallets are good
fix his braid... its soooooo.... loopy

They both look great! Maybe try changing the black lines to a dark brown and see how that looks?

Thank you! Brighter outlines look good. I think I'll try higher resolution for the next one.

No problem! An art teacher told me once to use either indigo blue or dark brown (depending on the colors) if I was lining something, because black tends to deaden the other colors used :>
