I just use the pen tablet and draw over the sketch... very time consuming

Did you do the line sketch in Gimp or Photoshop? I have a wacom tablet and am still trying to figure out how to make my lines about as clean as yours.

I have a wacom and i use the program that came with it which is Adobe photoshop elements 7.0

Hrm... Photoshop...and a wacom tablet. How you make lines..are the lines themselves made that well due to you using pressure sensitivity pen or via a paint brush/tool in Photoshop or both?
I use Gimp, but to manually draw over my (scanned in) drawings doesn't work out so well. I can use a path/curve tool to outline my characters, but then the lines are all the same thickness. It looks good and clean, but I'd like to do a drawing with a variety of line widths/sizes. I'm just trying to figure out how digital line art works. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to respond. I really appreciate it!

Uh I'm not great with the Photoshop yet (probably never will be) but my pen is pressure sensitive (harder you push, thicker the line) but i do go over the thicker parts occasionally. it's just a long winded job of drawing. Honestly i don't even know how to make lines other than drawing them in...
