Tribal is actually not that hard. Just start by randomly drawing swirls and spirals. Then get the inks
When you can make stuff like that you'll eventually learn how to use the random stuff and get them into shapes(like animals, symbols).

Thanks it does any piece of advice is well appreciated. I was commisioned to draw a tribal Canadian flag by a guy's girlfriend in my class. It was really complicated but I think it turned out alright. I told them that a real tattooist can prolly do better tribal than but I hope that helps lol.

Just outta curiousity, what kinda inks do you use? I use pigma markers and pens for inking usually.

I use very simple black fineliners hehe, they're rather thin so I can get into them small places
