Excellent illustration. I don't know which book this was from, but the scene reminds me of "The Last Argument of Kings" by Joe Abercrombie (a defense of a castle from zombie-like creatures).

I am trying to write a novel series on the scale of an Epic and I just want to say; I am very thankful for the pictures artists like you produce and your pieces have so far helped to inspire me. This pic in particular has inspired an entire battle scene and may, by extension, have inspired the reason for the battle and the setting of it. Thanks for the inspiring images and keep it up!

The books are phenomenal, SimonHK. Although, they are quite different (not so much in Season 1, but Season 2 starts diverging here and there), and a lot more happens in the books that had to be cut out of the TV series, for obvious reasons - the books are really long. But that said, they really are great, you should definitely read them!
