The third and final image of a three-peice set requested by ~Memoris, completed in October of 2004, but never submitted.

Vang is what we have mirthfully referred to as a hippocampitaur; he is a sea-centaur, loosely one-third horse, one-third fish, and one-third elf. He is the second of two lieutenants beneath Erythros Sol, and is at once both a capable warrior and a warm-hearted ruffian. He makes a great many appearances in Tarin's Story as a friend, ally, and cohort.

Vang very seldom wears clothing of any kind on his arms or torso, as it catches upon his fins and does harm, and he wears only specialized armour on his lower body during battle. The tattoos on his skin are of phosphorescent pigment, and glow both in the dark and in the depths like that of an angler-fish. They represent the all-seeing eyes of the primal gods of his race, intended to evoke terror in his enemies, and lend him otherworldly vision. Vang was not the easiest of the three studies to undertake, but he was certainly the most amiable of the three warriors to entertain.

Sketched in mechanical pencil, inked with black Copic Multiliner, coloured with Copic markers. The small details on the fins and calligraphy were done with gel-pens and PrismaColour pencil crayons.
