Even those brave warriors, legends and blood lusting monsters, do feel fear too.Hana-Bi, my samurai character who I just started to scribble on canvas just for fun, and then that colouring wasn't as fun as I was going to expect it to be.
This is just a colouring experiment in OPEN CANVAS, and please be gentle with me...first time when I really tried something realistic ._.;;

Okay, people thinks that I'm using OC first time here. Eeeeh, sorry, I might've said it totally wrong. *lol*
What I ment was that this was my first try trying to paint REALISTIC.
I've used OC about 3 years now, so it has nothing new to me anymore, but of course, I still have alot to learn about the program.

He looks horrified. Poor thing. His top lip and nostral look a bit...twisted,his fingers just dunt look right fer sum reason and the connection between his wrist and hand isn't ther do to lack of detail.

I really love the expression tho, funny becuase i was just reading peice maker kurogane and the main character must admit that he can't even fear an oni if want to be a samurai, so he tries to avoid being scared.

yo, not that I'm qualified to comment, this pwns me to hell, but i have some suggestions...blood is actually red.. and the hand is...odd...it looks kinda...floppy...his forearm looks a little 2d...and that's an odd way to hold a katana...
but i like it anyway, hwever, i'm not gonna fave it, 'cos if you get any more, you'll get a swelled head...

well, generally you bandage it before it dries...and usually by the time it dries the fight's over...and then it should be crusty and not as fluid and viscous as it looks here...so there...

Neat picture...I love the dirty sort of look, as if he's bloodied and been a bit banged about... the expression is nice too, he's been through alot but not defeated yet in spirit.

I think you've done well with this realistic thing. The shine in his hair is very well done, it just pops forward to my eyes. The bandages are very realistic, too. The thing that seems a little wrong to me is the sword, it doesn't look like metal, only a grey patch of colour. I adore the background colour, btw.

Holy cow. He's beautiful. I know it says advanced critique is encouraged, but I can't think of any. Maybe just the way the bandage goes in his mouth. Are those his top teeth or bottom teeth? On the left side, the bandage covers his teeth completely, so it makes me think bottom teeth... and on the right side, it just hangs out... I don't know. It seems a little bit awkward to me. I can't draw mouths like that at all, myself.. not with anything in them, at least... I'm probably not even making any sense.
