Forgive the poor iPhone photo--we will be doing touchups and adding highlights to this piece, but for the moment this is the only picture I have of little Celes here.

This design had me almost in tears. The colors (Nine of them) were all custom-mixed to match the pixels as closely as humanly possible based on the inks my shop has. On top of that, each "pixel" is about 1/8" square--not an easy size or shape to do with needles when you don't have a lot of experience.
The colors are scattered all over the piece, and each line is so precise and straight that I had to wipe the ink quite a lot, but each wipe removes more and more of my stencil, leaving me working blind.
Terrifying.
To my astonishment, once I got the blacks and blue in there, she started to come together. When I was about halfway through I realized it was actually going to work.
This is the most ambitious and difficult piece I've done to date, and I'm pretty psyched about it. Updates to come after I retouch her hair and add white highlights to the piece.
