Here's 's character - The Cell, winner of last month's Fight Club art jam, run by .managed to draw a picture every thirty seconds or so and I think did more fights than the rest of us put together - so a worthy winner and here's my tribute - hope you like it!
Around the edge of the picture are all the other fighters - it's too late and I'm too tired to namecheck them all now! Check out my other picture 'Angelcrusher Fighting League' for individual character credits if you're interested!
Vigil, standing behind the Cell, is of course my character. She came (joint) second. Originally I drew her smiling and applauding Cell - but somehow it just didn't look right! I've done my best to keep Vigil 'in character' during these Fight Club pics, and while I think the Cell is a worthy winner, I suddenly realised that Vigil never would! Hence her expression - she thinks she was robbed!

The layout reminds of the old Marvel covers with floating heads looking shocked at the dramatic happenings in the middle of the cover. Very very cool. Great pic all around as usual. I like your take on the AFL belt and Vigil's body language is excellent and totally in character. I don't think I'm a fan of the pink suit, but awesome pic.

Thanks Gene. It;s funny, but this picture kind of made me give up on the pink shading too - it's just too intrusive I think - even when the shading is subtle it still looks pink rather than white, so blue or grey from now on, unless there's strong coloured lighting I think.

That's what I thought. There were a couple of people who signed up but didn't fight - yours was the crazy dancing Russian wasn't it? It's a shame you couldn't get any fights in because that guyt would have made for some really bizarre fights! Always next year, though, isn't there!

This is awesome, and the border thing is another great idea. Cell and Vigil look fantastic too....did you copy my belt design? lol Anyway, you smudged abit of blue by his arm, unless its lens flare.

Yes that is your belt design - I figured if anything, that was going to be the official belt! As for the smudgy blue dot - yep, that pesky lens flare is back - should have cleaned it up I suppose but I was too tired to care last night when I posted this! Maybe I'll sort it out later. Anyway, looking forwards to seeing your 'top secret thing' The mind boggles...

Yeah, should be interesting to see if Cell can retain his title next year! Are you reconsidering his tragic early death now? Anyway, It'll be fun to see how many returning fighters there are, and how many new characters too. I dont know if ill enter him in next years AFL if exhausted most possibilities so I might enter someone new

I was wondering whether I'd have exhausted the possibilities with Vigil, but I think it'll be more of a challenge to stick with her - new opponments bring new fight possibilities and old opponents will have history! Not sure if doing ;son of Cell' will solve your problem though - if he's still a wrestler won't his repertoir of moves be similar?

Thats just to keep the Cell Story Going Kind of like Ultimate Muscle With Kid Muscle.For The Next AFL I Might go for a completely differnt character to try differnt things

As far as I know, the AFL was such a sucess that probably will revisit the theme in a near future. So Vigil shouldn't be such a sore loser... It will just feel even more satisfying when she wins her rematch! X3
