We don't know yet exactly how she got here, but she's exhausted from infiltrating their base and then running for hours. I think the only suppression is something preventing her teleporting away though (hence the running) and this is a general defence mechanism the Legionnaire have, not anything directed specifically at her. The main reason he has the upper hand is that he knows all about her, but she's not sure who he is and hasn't had a chance to adapt to his powers and fighting style yet. But she's a fast learner! The story is that she was jailed for murdering a russian politician, which in truth was Dmitri Alexandrov's doing, one of the Legionnaire.
