Description
The Adarna Bird is a mythical creature from Philippine folklore, it is an enchanted bird that was said to sing melodies that could heal. but it's droppings turns you to stone... XDAND this is the H.O.W version of it.. hohoho~
I'll let you decide what the story of my version is.

I don't think the level of skill matters in contests though, I've been browsing for contests and ive seen a lot of contest entries that are a whole lot better than the winning entry. It depends on the judge's point of view and which styles they actually prefer. At least that's what i think.

I have to say I kind of agree to your statement, although the winning pieces are usually of the above average level (if not the expert level), one main reason why I always feel discouraged when I join contests. :/ I only won third place in one hard-to-win contest because I'm a chibi art specialist and an amazing object and character designer. With a fairy tale and myth theme chibi art is no match. D:
