Also I just remembered an idea involing a AU of a Taro x Ayano. It was an idea I had a long time ago.
It starts with two children playing together they are very close. The girl asks the boy to promise he'll always be there for her. He promises her, but it is broken as he is forced to move away with his family. In grief and sadness the girl gets a fever which causes her to forget about the boy. And without the boy felt nothing much like when she did before meeting him.
*scene shift*
A young woman walks towards a young man in a black garb of a ronin lying in the snow. She dropped a bloodied sword she used to kill the monster that struck the young man who protected her. she sat near him as a sad smile played on her features . 'You broke your promise, but don't worry...." She slumped to the ground as she looked at his face their feet pointing in opposite directions. She reached out and took his cold out-streched hand, and smiled with tears flowing. "....I'll be by your side again soon." The life began to leave her eyes. The blood from her wound in the fight flowed and pooled as it met with the young Ronin's pooling blood.
But a figure loomed over the dead pair. The figure angered as this wasn't what they wanted. It cackled as it casted a incantation. Cursing the pairs souls, the girls cursed to forever seek out the males, and obsess of him if finding him, and cursed to not be able to feel anything till finding him. The male would attract others of the opposite gender, but won't ever feel an intamite love to or from them. The figure disappeared shortly after till a lone figure in red ninja attire came to the couple saddened at the site. She let loose her red hair. She vowed as the girls loyal servant and friend to protect and reunite her master and friends souls. And break the curse the curse ahold of them, and if not her, then her decedents.
(So basically a yandere curse of the princesses soul trying to find her protector love. The soul eventually settles and reincarnate's in Ayano, while the Ronin settles in Taro. And the ninjas decedent is Info-chan. But the Info-ninja found a flaw in the curse that if the Ronin's reincarnation already cares for the reincarnation it can less the obsession of the princess. But the curse causes her jeliously to reach yandere levels. After info -chan's mother explains to a young Taro (after leaving she found him) he immediately wanted to go and be there for Ayano. But she explained that the dark being (a demon, not any of the rivals, it just wants them to forever be in pain.) that if he were to go and be by her side now it would send it's minion's to separate and or kill them to make the curse continue. He needed to train to fight them and protect Ayano.
Some other ideas I had were that the rivals are the reincarnated souls of the princesses friends and comrades killed in their battle against the demon. The curse, making her feel the need to kill them thus causing her soul more pain. And the demon making their souls feel compelled to Taro. Ayano thank to her fever and her memories of him fogged up she would be safe until she was older when the minion's would come for her. (Maybe one of them in the form of a male version of a loan sharks kid.) Taro will have to stop them. (Maybe fight a few in their monstrous forms with some help from Ayano who without knowing why. Is quite good with a katana.)
Also the reason her mom went yandere, is because the soul tried to inhabit her mom but couldn't but leaving a imprint or two of tendencies.
