A lot of really nice "Mohatu's mate" concepts I've seen over the years have been gorgeous Pridelander lionesses, so naturally I ran in the complete opposite direction. Pao hails from a distant jungle pride, which she ditched for reasons she dances around admitting to, and her natural state is "sass". She and Mohatu meet on the borders of the Pridelands and she proceeds to turn his brain upside down. Young love, hm?
