Description Here's a sketch from my upcoming comic book, Trail of the Dead. It features the Deva, which are powerful god like beings who dwell in the heavens. They serve as a main opposition to the main protagonist, Hiroko. The story has really been revamped; I'll update soon.

Thanks! I used tons of anatomy references for each figure. Andrew Loomis is a good ref book that I study sometimes.

Thanks da! The deva refer to powerful godlike beings whom reside in a higher transcendental realm of existence (the heavens). Although their power & knowledge is not absolute. They are administrators of material & ethereal existence. They are all generally allies against lower realms, but some have sinister agendas of their own.

You know the old legend of how the Greek gods overthrew the powerful titans in a desperate power struggle & gained rule of Olympus? Same applies here. Only this time the Olympus gods are battling for supreme rule over Sanskrit TrāyastrimΕ›a [link] and wish to dominate the gods of that realm. But these Sanskrit gods are much more powerful, and their ruler is Indra himself, lord of all Deva gods(he isn't the creator god).

So the gods of Olympus betray & plot against themselves, as well as the Sanskrit gods in a power struggle. That's not all the Deva have to worry about. They also are at war with the Asurians (Hiroko's people), the Syncro (hungry ghost's), and the Hellions (Hades + Satan's minions). The human realm is helplessly stuck right in between this massive war.

It's gonna be epic

That sounds freakin awesome! Sounds very developed and it sure grabbed my attention.

This Pic is Godly yo i love it. The blue lines and white bg go great together creating a celestial like feel to those beings.The red and orange suns are great contrast too! Awesome job !JUN!! Keep it up!
