Freefall

With tendrils trailing, like silk they sway,
In liquid skies, they find their way,
A ballet of colors, in the ocean's call,
This jellyfish, in freefall.

No earthly bounds can hold its grace,
As it glides through this watery space,
In the liquid world, it finds its thrall,
A jellyfish, in tranquil freefall.

This is a stunning Purple-striped jelly (Chrysaora colorata)! Taken at the Monterey Bay Aquarium last year. I could sit and watch these beautiful creatures all day. They're so tranquil, flawless, effortless, and delicate as they float around. Their colors are GORGEOUS. Such a beautiful animal.
