Description Canoness Columbo from my Sisters of Battle army. She's armed with a converted axe and a ridiculously large flamethrower, all the better for smiting the heretics...

Nice one! I have the original of this model and plan to add a sword in place of the icon she's holding up.

Any advice for converting this particular model?

Thanks As for converting the sword for the model, it should be quite straightforward. Just cut off the icon, drill a hole through the hand so you can pin the sword's blade in place with some wire. Also, if you have a hand that is already holding a sword you could cut the canoness' hand off at the wrist and place the new hand there. Pinning the hand in place with wire would again be a good idea. Just be careful when positioning the new hand so that it doesn't end up in an strange position.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm gonna be using the sword from the newer canoness, so I may just cut the arm off and replace it with that.

Lovely, nobody expects the spanish inquisition ;D

The most stunning part has to be the blade, it looks almost like it's liquid metal or something, but I guess it's supposed to be a power/force-weapon right?

Thanks, your guess is right, in game terms the blade represents a blessed power weapon.

How did you achieve the "liquid metal look", is it excessive blending, blurred by the cam or some very neat trick you wish to share ;D ?

No tricks, it's just plain blending, it took some time Though it's not very smooth if you look very closely.

Wow, wow, your paint jobs are great. I love her xD And Columbo sounds great. I think these ladies deserve some strong names, for all that they do on the battlefield! Lovely job all around. Is the seal and papers on her axe custom? How do you do that o_o

Thanks The axe is converted from a dark eldar vehicle blade and the purity seal is made of greenstuff and a piece of paper.

Me likes, very well done and painted. Though i personaly thing Columbo is a odd name for any SoB.

What parts did you use to make her?

Thanks
The weapon is made from a dark eldar vehicle blade of some sort, and the flamer is from an IG sentinel.
The name is her last name. I wanted the army to have a sort "spanish inquisition" feel so I came up with spanish names for most of the characters.
