Share my steps here.
I started with sketch on paper, then scanned into computer and painted in photoshop.
In photoshop, I will get the overall value first(grayscale), then added in base color. Next, will will darken the places which i think should darker and brighten the places whith should brighter. After that, spend time on touch up and adjusting some minor part and done!!
