Here's my extremely long overdue take on the Arnold x Phoebe ship, heavily inspired by the works done by TXToonGuy1037 , Khialat , Garabatoz , and NeoSlashott .Many have made drawings done emphasizing Phoebe's Japanese heritage, but as was revealed in the "Phoebe Cheats" episode, Phoebe tells Principal Schwartz that she's from Kentucky, so that gave me the idea to make an Arnold x Phoebe drawing emphasizing her Kentucky heritage. Kentucky may be known best for KFC, the Kentucky Derby, and Jim Beam bourbon (JB is one of my favorite alcoholic spirits), but's it's also home to Cumberland Falls. Cumberland Falls (located in the town of Corbin) is known for being the only place in the entire Western hemisphere where under the right conditions, a "moonbow" can occur. Because Arnold is such a thoughtful guy, I thought it would be very appropriate for him to take Phoebe to Cumberland Falls and confess his love for her under the moonbow.

While I don't ship Arnold and Phoebe, I really like this picture, you did a great job on this! I like the trees, the water fall, the rainbow, and the starry night sky! Okay it's a moonbow and I wanted to say that but was scared to! I've never seen a moonbow before and would like to.
I've ridden through Kentucky and I love KFC but have it in 6 years and have been meaning to go! But your picture is great!

Now that is very clever and creative for this couple. Really love this non-canon (sadly...) couple over the Arnold/Helga couple which I think along with others is a little or a lot overrated. They make an excellent couple. Sadly there is not that many artwork of this couple and hardly any fanfiction of them as well. For the fanfiction, I might consider get the complete series of Hey Arnold on DVD to get some ideas. But it would be welcome if others took interest in make any fanfictions of the couple.

Small update to this comment. I at least got seasons 3, 4 and 5 of Hey Arnold from Half Priced Books. Thankfully they have all or most the episodes I want to watch for the fanfictions. I may consider doing ones with the Arnold/Rhonda couple as well, even though there is already a good number a good ones out there over the underrated Arnold/Phoebe couple.

Nice to see some love of this 'ship is still alive. (Not that I push any particular pairing, but I did write a fanfic on this one.) Lovely work on the kids, neat stylization as late teens, or so I guess since there' s a nice touch of awkwardness in both their smiles and how they're struggling to keep balance in that romantic pose. (They don't mind, and in fact it probably makes the situation feel even sweeter.) Awesome level of detail on the background too, really adding to the romantic feeling while the moonbow highlights the giddiness in them as well. Thanks for the very lovely what-if moment.

The classic Sonic games was a crucial inspiration in drawing out the detail for the background, though I could have colored out the moonbow better.

Thanks. It was a bit time-consuming to color this in with good detail, but I'm glad I did. I thought of drawing Arnold and Phoebe sharing a bottle of Jim Beam to accentuate the Kentucky theme of the drawing, but it's hard for me to imagine these two drinking alcohol.
