Absolutely gorgeous!

I'd love to see you draw one of these, in this style but with a fusion of the old Pan American south pacific Clipper posters, like these:

Thanks a lot! As for the styles, I'm coming up with the new ones from time to time, so might do something in that direction sometime (definitely have some cool retro posters in reference folder). But there are few technological constraints on these decisions too.

I admit to being quite partial to the old flying boats.  While the Boeing 314 was not the favorite of the maintenance guys at Pan-Am, they sure were beautiful.  I owned an HU-16 Albatross for a few years and have heard many stories of crazy heroics of those SAR pilots.... Landing in high-banked creeks, ripping off floats and wingtips...while taking heavy fire during the Korean War...  hitting logs and tearing huge rents in the hull...  but still getting off the water and making the rescue.   Taxiing 100 miles in the open ocean after landing in 15-20 foot waves during a storm, to rescue downed crew...

Just authentic heroics in a super tough airplane/boat

The Space SAR version for waterworld rescue might look pretty cool ;-P

I look forward to more

Liberty & Regard,

Clay

Thanks! Thinking of this one as a flying boat is the new perspective for me actually - was conceived as a flying car rather - but that's an interesting thought! My own soft spot at the sea-sky border lies with Caspian Sea Monster probably
