08.06.2014About 90 hours of work over the course of a maybe 6 or 7 weeks, Revelations of the Revanchist is the second part in my Old Republic series inspired by the work of Drew Struzan. The poster is put together in an attempt to represent Revan's discovery of who he was, and the important people whom have had a large impact on becoming that person and the person he is upon the revelation. Below him is the destruction of Taris, which began him on his path to self-discovery. All the art was done in Manga Studio while the text and logos were in Illustrator and Photoshop. While it looks swell in 11x17 format, the detail on the 24x36 will be the most amazing as that's the size of the canvas I worked on.

In the mythos of Revan, he was the leader of the Revanchists, group of rogue Jedi that joined the Republic army during the Mandalorian wars because they couldn't just sit by and watch innocents be conquered.

The Revanchists, also known as the Jedi Crusaders, were a renegade faction of the Jedi Order who assisted the Galactic Republic during the Mandalorian Wars . In 3964 BBY , the movement was founded by the Jedi Knight Revan , who wished to take a more proactive role against the invading Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders . Under Revan's leadership, the Revanchist Jedi went against the Jedi Council 's wishes and participated in scouting missions on the Outer Rim . In thefollowing year , Revan uncovered the truth of the Mandalorian 's genocide of theCathar people. Although the Jedi Council did not give the Revanchists their full support, they begrudgingly allowed the Revanchists to join the Republic Military under the banner of a Republic Mercy Corps .
During the war, the Revanchists, under the leadership of Revan and his friend and fellow Jedi Knight Malak , led the Republic to victory in numerous battles. In3960 BBY , the Jedi ultimately defeated the Mandalorians at the war's final battle at Malachor V . However, most of the Revanchists that were not killed during the battle fell to the dark side of the Force over the course of the next year . These Jedi followed Revan and Malak, now the new Dark Lords of the Sith , under theirnew Sith Empire . The two Sith Lords declared war on the Jedi Council and the Republic, initiating the Jedi Civil War . Three years later , Darth Malak was defeated by Revan, who was redeemed by the Jedi Council, and Malak's Sith Empire was defeated at Rakata Prime .

Hahaha, and as you should! I'd be amazing if they could make a "definitive" edition of the game for people who can't bring themselves to go back that far in visual effects. Upres the models and textures, and people would repurchase the game for at least $30 bucks.

Hahaha, thanks! It was an endeavor for sure, but an idea I had in my head since starting the first poster. I'm going to be working on the third idea in my head while switching to a different project for a bit. Having some trouble deciding how to end his series. Glad you like it, though

This is really awesome. KOTOR was the first RPG I ever played, and it holds so many memories for me, and this piece brings back quite a few. Very nicely done!

So epic! It makes me want to experience Knights of the Old Republic again. One of my friends has KOTOR I on his computer, and I played a little of it once.

KotOR was a bit more limited an experience as far as WHAT you could do in the game than II, but it was by far the best story in any game within a 10 year period either direction. II had the cool stuff of dual sabers and what-not, but it was rushed out the door before they could finish the last quarter of the game they had planned, and it's story fell extremely short because of it. It's definitely worth playing the first game if you haven't, though.

Well, you awaken mysteriously after someone tries to poison you, but your bakta tank gets broken open and you're thrown to the floor. When you're in a bakta tank, you're going to be in your skivvies if anything

I agree those would make great movies, I could see Revan having a trilogy that would work very well. The first could be set during his early years as a Jedi ending which his choice to defy the council and join the Mandolarian Wars, the second would be the war ending with the disappearance of the Republic fleet at the end of the war and the final would be covering his return and learning of who he original was, basically the game KOTOR.
I think movies on Revan and Bane would be far better than a Boba Fett or young Han Solo movie. I wouldn't mind seeing a Force Unleashed movie, showing the creation of the Rebel Alliance and the story of Galen aka Starkiller. It used to be considered canon before Disney.

Well, I started the series with his Conquest period, traveling with Malak to find the Star Forge and eventually fighting Malak and up 'til his betrayal and "death"...this one covering the KotOR story pretty-much, and I'm thinking the last poster I do for this series will be his finalization via the SWTOR era. I haven't fully imagined it yet, though.
