Have you ever wondered what if things had been different so long ago? What if Celestia had not been the one to seal Luna away in the moon? What if, instead, a different path had been taken…

Before the dawn can rise DUSK must fall

I know, probably highly unoriginal to create an alternate world where Tia went crazy and Luna became princess, but this is my take on it!

Does anyone remember my Dusk Luna custom? Well this is the story/world in which she belongs. I am actually writing the story, and have the prologue here which explains the basis of how the world began.

Denizen and Divinity are the godds in my MLP stories; Denizen is the dark primal chaos and evil, while Divinity is the good and pure light. So they each have their factions, and Discord is one of Denizen’s gremlins basically. So is Abyss who is the one that is going back in time to make this world a possibility. Again, I am writing this, so just read it.

So this is the mane 6, along with the CMCs and the obligator older brother Took me a while to pick ponys for the spots, seeing as I didn’t want to just use OCs (it’s not meant to be a self-insert story after all) but I just can’t see anypony other than DW being Luna’s student. So I decided upon a combination of OCs, semi-OCs (G4ified G3 ponys, or BG ponys no one cares about ), and BG ponys. I also wanted to try to fit them into the regular world’s niches, but not without being an obvious cut and paste job. I eventually came up with this group, and I rather like it, so I’m sticking with it! So here’s the who’s who (from left to right more or less):

Cherry Berry FiM Counterpart: Scootaloo
-breed: Earth filly
-occupation: student
-personality: she’s a little bit silly and likes to chase her tail like a dog
-extra: she’s an OC I created to round out the CMCs; I was originally going to use “Blueberry muffin” but I noticed I had too many blue ponys, so I gave her a red/teal coloring instead.

Vinyl Scratch FiM Counterpart: Rainbow Dash
-breed: Unicorn mare
-occupation: disc jockey
-personality: she’s a laid back, go with the flow, party girl. She speaks with a street like attitude, but she’s all about her music and getting it out there by any means necessary.
-extra: She and Octavia can’t seem to stand each other due to their clashing ideologies and musical styles. She doesn’t really seem to pay any attention to her little sister Tiny Ice either

Tiny Ice FiM Counterpart: Sweetiebelle
-breed: Unicorn filly
-occupation: student
-personality: she’s a rowdy little tomboy who would love nothing more than to be just like her big sister. She likes to help VS more her music equipment, even though she can’t do much. She also doesn’t mind when VS forgets her; she just says that her sister was “in the zone”.
-extra: I took the unicorn model of Tiny Ice and took away her cutie mark because I liked how her coloring was similar to VS’.

Silver Glow FiM Counterpart: Big Mac
-breed: Pegasus stallion
-occupation: weather moving and storage
-personality: he’s rather laid back, in a strong contrast to Starsong’s ditzy flightiness. He’s the stable rock in the family, and a hard worker.
-extra: I didn’t really like any of the BG boys, and couldn’t really see how any of tem could be related to my mane 6. Then I remembered G3 Silver Glow, and I’d always thought he was a boy, so I used him (and made him SS’s brother instead of dad )

Octavia FiM Counterpart: Rarity
-breed: Earth female
-occupation: classical cellist
-personality: she is a very professional and formal girl. In her opinion the only “real” music is the classical stuff, and must always be played to perfection. Her greatest aspiration is to play before the princess in Canterlot.
-extra: She and VS can’t seem to stand each other due to their clashing ideologies and musical styles. She also has a British accent.

DJ FiM Counterpart: Spike
-breed: Dragon
-occupation: assistant
-personality: he is a crazy bum DJ has a short attention span, and really doesn’t do that well at his job as DW’s assistant. But he helps DW get out into the world, so they make pretty good friends that way. He also loves music and cake.
-extra: dragon DJ by PK; the only one I could see hanging around DW ^^

Dreamweaver FiM Counterpart: Twilight Sparkle
-breed: Pegasus mare
-occupation: student
-personality: she is a little introverted, and unsure of herself at times, but she is a very studious student and very loyal to those she holds close. She is strong willed, and constantly thinking of different and new things, but that also leads her to second guessing herself more often than not as well.
-extra: PK’s OC/persona, and the only pony I could ever see as Luna’s student in any incarnation.

Mintie FiM Counterpart: Pinkie Pie
-breed: Unicorn mare
-occupation: pastry chef
-personality: she is a silly crazy fun pony. She’s always happy to go off an adventure with friends. Some things she does might seem a little strange an eccentric to someponys, but in the end they usually make sense.
-extra: the only pony I could see being a PP other than PP was Minty, but I wanted DUSK to be separate from DrMint (or a part of it, you know, dimensional traveling) but then I recalled my Minty-corn design. So thus a Y became IE, and Mintie was born!

Starsong FiM Counterpart: Aapplejack/Fluttershy
-breed: Pegasus mare
-occupation:
-personality: she’s known to be a bit ditzy at times and can easily forget things, but generally she’s a happy sweet girl. She works hard with her brother and sister, and is always the first to apologize if something wrong happens.
-extra: it came down to me needing a mother Pegasus girl, and trying not to choose anymore blue. SS was a G3 I rather liked, and at the time I picked her, I only had the mane 6 and she was the only really warm toned pony

River Stone FiM Counterpart: Applejack/Cheerilee
-breed: Earth mare
-occupation: school teacher
-personality: she’s a calm and patient pony and enjoys spending time around the foals. She’s also the steady rock of the group too, and typically the voice of reason in disputes.
-extra: Vi’s OC/persona. I love RS, and if DW was there I sorta felt like she should be too. At first I thought of her being a FS/AJ hybrid, but when I started writings he had Cheerilee’s job, so I went with it and I think it suits her very well.

Sweetpop FiM Counterpart: Applebloom
-breed: Pegasus filly
-occupation: student
-personality: she’s a little sweet heart (like her name implies) but she’s also got a very short attention span. She loves to play jokes on people, and is always trying to get out of working to go and have some fun instead.
-extra: not much to say about the choice here…two toned mane, purple peg, that’s’ why I chose her. Though she was the first CMC I chose I think.

So yeah, another big bunch of text but hey I put a lot of thought into all of this! I think I got a nice blending of styles, and I like how all the ponys I picked look too. Now the trick is writing them all properly and convincingly
