I modeled and textured this camera from scratch for my entrance exam for UTD's Modeling & Texturing II course for this coming Fall. Keep your fingers crossed for me!It's meant to be exactly like the current version of the Fisher Price Kid-Tough Camera (pink) and is complete on all sides, from the battery cover hinge to the bumps in the paint on the surface (by the way, the colors are WRONG in the photos on its product page on Amazon. I balanced my colors to the real product that I have on my desk). The assignment was for the model and texturing alone, but I couldn't resist also lighting and rendering a beauty shot so I could show it off!
Lighting, rendering, post-work, modeling of camera and backdrop, and texturing of camera and backdrop are all 100% me.
The grass, ground, screw, and brick (modeling and texturing) are the work of the professor of the course to which I'm applying, Todd Fechter.
This took me about 20 hours overall to make from scratch.

Why get a kid a cheap toy camera? They could get a panasonic or samsung for $100. It would take good pictures and wouldn't be a big deal if they broke it.

Well these cost $40 and are intended for very small children...and are also very difficult to break (even in the bathtub). They have dual viewfinders so kids can use both eyes when aiming, as well. They take awful photos, but little kids don't care about that.
