It's rude to call OCs similar to established characters in media (when it's obvious that wasn't the intention) and it disheartens me as an artist, keeping me from making more content of this character. pls ppl, he literally doesn't look like sidon im so tired

[Personality]
Xaltocan presents himself as a big and intimidating Zora who should be avoided at all costs. He's one to pride himself in his strength and it's not uncommon for him to enter scuffles. This recklessness has gotten him in life threatening situations before, but it doesn't seem like he's learned his lesson. Under all that, he's a big goof who's gentle and considerate. He'd risk life and limb to those he loves and isn't a stranger to spoiling loved ones.

Born to a single mother, him and his younger brother were raised outside of the domain. During his youth, his antics would start rumors of a strange child Zora entity that appears under the cover of darkness. As he matured, he'd venture out farther and farther away from the small sanctuary his mother made to interact with other Zora. His curiosity peaked when he saw Hylians coming through the domain and managed to convince his brother to join him on some scenic outings. It was around this time where he gained infamy for being a rough housing Zora.

Growing up, his mother would teach him the importance of keeping the environment healthy. This involved protecting other animals, no matter how small. So it didn't take long for Xaltocan to fight with Hylians on the regular. He was chastised at the domain for picking fights with those who relied on hunting for sustenance and began being educated by Hylian researchers on who to deal with. He gained the moniker of a marauding Zora among poachers, but his efforts weren't without consequences. On many occasions he'd come back a bloody mess, making both his family and others worried about his approach to this whole marauder deal.

Xaltocan shrugged off most concerns and kept going on about his business. He only began being a little more careful when he met a Hylian girl who helped nurse him back to health after another nasty encounter with poachers. He doted on her, hard, but would often not speak about her in fear of the elders getting after him.
At some point, his mother fell ill and scoured Hyrule to find ingredients for medicine. During this absence, he was unaware of an attempted attack on his brother. So when he came back to the domain, he was met with a surprise when a Hylian and Rito forced him to be part of a research team. He had little say in the matter as the Hylian, Faria, held saving his brother's life over his head.

He's asked to stay at the Domain to look after his aging mother, but does venture to South Akkala to collect guardian parts.
