I always put the reed facing up so it wouldn't get chipped or get anything dirty on it

Love this. It actually makes me miss playing clarinet for a nanosecond, then I remember how repulsive the reed was and I don't miss it anymore. 8D
Anyway, this is a great photo. I love the way the objects are arranged; the physical composition of the image is really innovative.

actually, it doesn't really matter for the pic. If you were going to play the clarinet well...that would be bad. But you can get ligatures that go on that way...I hate them but they do exist... soz, this is about the 'metal bit' on the clarinet.

I used to play saxophone and my bestie played clarinet. The same thing applies to sax. And I'm glad it's comforting.

i played alto. I did music for a high school unit and quit the arvo after the final exam... I'm thinking I want to take up piano now...when i get the time. I miss playing.

Yeah, definitely. The piano is such a musically versatile instrument. Plus, it's not too difficult to learn, so if you get the chance, you really should give it a shot.

I'm sorry, I don't play it all -- it's my sisters and she wasn't around when I was taking the pic...I had a hard enough time figuring out how to assemble just the body of the clarinet. xDD
But I do play the piano! And the flute. So I'm not a COMPLETE musical idiot.
